SMART ANTI-AIRFIELD WEAPON (SAAW)

Ø SAAW is a guided anti-airfield weapon with long range precision upto a range of hundred kilo metres.

Ø Hindustan Aeronautics Limited successfully fired the SAAW from Hawk Aircraft. SAAW was developed by DRDO (Defence Research Development Organisation) and it is the first smart weapon fired from an Indian Hawk Mk132 trainer aircraft.

Ø SAAW is used to attack the radars,bunkers,runways etc.
