Ø Indigenously built “MV SINDHU”, a 150 tonne Cargo Vessel to the Andaman & Nicobar Island Administration by Cochin Shipyard Ltd.

Ø It is capable of carrying 500 passengers and can cruise at 16 Knots.

Ø Cochin Shipyard Ltd will also provide full life cycle support for the Ship’s efficient operartion.

Ø The ship is part of Government’s plans to add new ships to the transportation fleet for improving the connectivity between the mainland and the islands.
