About TET Exam

Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test is shortly called as TNTET is introduced by Government of India to recruit teachers. This exam has been conducting since 2011 and is the entrance examination for hiring government teachers. The Exam is conducted by central government and state government in India.

The Exam is divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2. Where, Paper 1 exam (Primary Level) for class 1 to 5 teachers while paper 2 (Upper Primary Level) is for class 6 to 8 teachers.

As per the TNTET notification, TNTET 2019 Paper 1 and Paper 2 was conducted on June 8 and 9, 2019 respectively. After getting selected in the Exam, the eligible candidates can get jobs at anywhere in Tamil Nadu.

TNTET 2019 Eligibility:

Before applying to the exam, the applicants must ensure that they fulfil the following eligibility requirements to further proceed to the next level. The various criteria are as stated below:

Nationality:

The candidates who is applying must be a

  • Citizen of India
  • A occupant of Bhutan or Nepal
  • A immigrant from Tibet to India, who came to stay in India permanently.

People of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with an intension to settle in India permanently

Age Limit:

The age of the applicant should not be less than 18 years and should not exceed 40 years. There will be age relaxation as per the Govt. rules and regulations as well.

TNTET 2019 Educational Qualification:

Once you fulfil the above eligibility criteria. The following shows the academic qualification to be fulfilled by the aspirants to write Paper-1 and paper-2.

Eligibility to write TNTET Paper 1(for classes’ I-IV)

Candidates must have done higher secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. And he/she should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or any other name it is known by.

or

Aspirants should have passed higher secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks. Along with this candidates should have passed in a two-year diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE regulations 2002. Final year candidates also can apply.

or

Candidates should have done Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

or

Students should have cleared Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. Along with it they should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

or

Applicants should be doing graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

or

Applicants should be doing graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

NOTE: Candidates should note that if they have passed in D.T.ed./D.Ele.Ed. from other stated than Tamil Nadu then they should submit an evaluation certificate.

Eligibility to write Paper II (for classes VI-VIII):

Candidates should have done graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of two years of Diploma in Elementary Education

or

Applicants should have done graduation with at least 50% marks. And they should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

or

Students should have done graduation with at least 45% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations

or

Aspirants should have passed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. They should have also passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

or

Students should have passed higher secondary with at least 50% marks. They should have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.

or

Candidates should have done graduation with at least 50% marks. They should have also passed or should be appearing in the final year of B.Ed (Special Education).

or

A candidate who has B.Ed qualification from an institute which is recognized by the NCTE eligible to appear in TET.

or

Students who are pursuing any of the teacher education courses which are recognized by the NCTE or the RCI.

TNTET 2019 Vacancies:

Are you are eligible with all the above criteria’s? Then you are the candidate suited for the Teacher posts. According to the official notification released by TRB, a total of 3,79,733 lakh candidates have took Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test Paper-II examination on June 9, 2019. The tentative answer keys for TN TET Examination were published on July 9, 2019.

TNTET 2019 Application Form:

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of SSC CPO 2019 can submit the Online Application Form. The Online application form starts from March 15, 2019 and it ends on April 12, 2019. Candidates can fill the form in online mode only by visiting the official portal of TRB.

The application process mainly consists of the following steps which are given below:

STEP 1: Go to the official website of TNUSRB i.e. www.trb.tn.nic.in

STEP 2: Use separate application for Paper-I and Paper-II

STEP 3: Go through the notification carefully

STEP 4: Fill all the required information that has been asked.

STEP 5: Click on the submit button

STEP 6: The final step is the payment process of TNTET 2019 application fee through various modes namely Credit/ Debit card, Net banking, Cash Card & Wallet and IMPS. You can also download and take a print out of the application for future use.

TNTET 2019 Application Fee:

Candidates can pay their TNTET 2019 application fee through Online mode (i.e. Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card)

  • For SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability -> Rs. 250/-
  • For other candidates -> Rs. 500/-

TNTET 2019 Admit Card:

After registering successfully, TRB will release admit card of TNTET 2019 for the registered candidates. Here, the candidate will need Registration Number/Roll Number and the Password/D.O.B while logging in to download the admit card.

Note: it is mandatory for candidates to carry all their required documents (admit card, ID proof, photographs) to the exam centre on the day of the examination. Candidates who fail to bring either of any required documents might not be allowed to write the Exam.

TNTET 2019 Exam Center:

TRB will conduct TNTET 2019 in all districts. TNTET Exam Centre details will be mentioned on the admit card along with other essential details.

Note: TRB doesn't cover any expenses which incur to attend TNTET. All the expenses incurring to attend the TNTET exam should be covered by the candidate.

TNTET 2019 Exam Pattern

TNTET 2019 Paper 1 and Paper 2 results will be published at the official website trb.tn.nic.in. Candidates who secured 60% or more in the TET Paper I or Paper II examination will be considered ton be eligible or selected in the TNTET 2019 Examination.

Salary/ Grade pay of TNTET 2019:

As per the Tamil Nadu school sources, the pay scale or Salary will be low for Non-TET qualified candidates and high for TET qualified candidates

  • Tamil Nadu TET Qualified teachers can get Pay Scale from Rs.18,000/- to Rs.25,000/-
  • TN TET Primary teacher Salary from Rs.15,000/- to Rs.25,000/-
  • Primary headmaster Pay Scale range from Rs.30,000/- to Rs.35,000/-

The TN TET qualified candidates get Original TN TET Pay Scale will be Rs.9,300 to Rs.34,800/- and Grade pay of Rs.4,800/-

TNTET Cut-off –2019:

TRB (Teacher Recruitment board) releases TNTET cut-offs for paper-1 and paper-2 on its official website (www.trb.tn.nic.in) along with the result of the candidate. TNTET cut-offs are nothing but the minimum marks that the candidates should score in order to qualify for the next level of exam.
