Key Points:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi  inaugurated Six Development Project in Uttarakhand under Namami Gange Mission on September 28, 2020

National Gange Mission is the largest integrated river conservation mission, it aims in the development of river Ganga rather than cleanliness.

Namami Gange, 45 million liters per day Sewage Treatment Plant capacity has been rehabilitated and 153 MLD new capacity has been created.

Project in Haridwar includes increasing the sewage treatment capacity 45 MLD to 145 MLD.

Jagjeetpur Project up-gradation- Increasing the project having a capacity of 27 MLD.

Jagjeetpur Project construction - sewage treatment plant  capacity of 68 MLD

Sarai Project - having a capacity of 18 MLD

Rishikesh sewage Plant- A new STP of 26 MLD has been completed at a sanctioned cost of Rs 158 crore.

Chandreshwar Nagar-  STP has a capacity of 7.5 MLD.

Chorpani Project- the capacity of Chorpani project is 5 MLD

2 projects at Badrinath- having a capacity of 1 MLD and 0.01 MLD.
