The Asia Environmental Enforcement Awards were awarded every year to individuals and public organizations in Asia to recognize their outstanding achievements and to combat transboundary environmental crime.
The awards are given to the individuals in different categories like collaboration, impact, innovation, integrity, and gender leadership.
By this year 2019, the prestigious award was conferred to the Senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Ramesh Pandey, as he was selected by the UN Environment in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). This award is to recognize his excellent work to combat transboundary environmental crime.
Thus it is reported that IFS officer Ramesh Pandey will receive the award at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok on 13 November 2019.
