SSC CHSL 2019 Eligibility:

Before applying to the exam, the applicants must ensure that they fulfil the following eligibility requirements to further proceed to the next level. The various criteria are as stated below:

Nationality:

The candidates who is applying must be a

  • Citizen of India
  • A occupant of Bhutan or Nepal
  • A immigrant from Tibet to India, who came to stay in India permanently.
  • People of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with an intension to settle in India permanently.

Age Limit

  • All candidates must be minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on August 1, 2019 to fulfill CHSL age criteria to appear for SSC CHSL 2019 exam.

SSC CHSL 2019Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. The Candidates who are appearing for Class XII exams are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates need to submit the documentary evidence of clearing Class XII latest by August 1, 2019, informs the official website.
  • For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent
  • As per MHRD Notification dated 10.06.1995 published in Gazette of India, all the degree/diplomas/certificates including technical education degree/diploma awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Govt. provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, UGC
  • All candidates who are called for appearing at the Typing Test/Skill Test will be required to produce the relevant Certificate in Original such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificate, etc. as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01st August 2018 failing which the candidature of such candidate will be cancelled by the Commission
  • Candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying exam was declared on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01st August 2019 and he/she has been declared passed, will also be considered to have the required Educational Qualification.

SSC CHSL 2019 Application Form:

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of SSC CHSL 2019 can submit the Online Application Form. The SSC CHSL 2019 Apply Online started from 5th March 2019 and will close on 5th April 2019. Candidates can fill the form in online mode only by visiting the official portal (different for different regions) of SSC.

SSC CHSL 2019 Admit Card:

After registering successfully, SSC will release admit card of SSC CHSL 2019 for the registered candidates. Here, the candidate will need Registration Number/Roll Number and the Password/D.O.B while logging in to download the admit card.

Candidates can download CHSL 2019 admit card one week before the commencement of the exam from the concerned regional/ sub regional office website from the official website. Note: The admit card for the CHSL Tier-1 exam will be released first followed by the admit card of CHSL Tier-2 exam (administered to only those candidates who qualify for Tier 1 exam).

Note: it is mandatory for candidates to carry all their required documents (admit card, ID proof, photographs) to the exam centre on the day of the examination. Candidates who fail to bring either of any required documents might not be allowed to write the Exam.

SSC CHSL 2019 Exam Pattern:

SSC CHSL exam has three levels, in which the candidate need to be cleared in all the three levels, in order to get selected for various posts in the Government Offices. SSC CHSL Tier I is Objective Multiple Choice Question, Tier II is Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi and Tier III is Computer Proficiency Test.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern – Tier-I

Exam pattern for CHSL tier-I –Here the question paper will be divided into four parts containing a total of 100 objective multiple choice questions. Candidates need to complete the exam in duration of 60 minutes. For further clarification candidates can refer the table below:

It may be noted that CHSL question paper will be set in both English and Hindi languages for Parts II, III, and IV, informs the official website.

Marking scheme: Two marks will be awarded for each correct answer in the exam. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern – Tier II

CHSL exam pattern for Tier II- Here the question paper will be descriptive in nature wherein candidates have to write an essay and a letter/ application (in pen and paper mode) in one hour duration. The paper has been designed “to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in Government jobs,” informs the official website.

Minimum marks required by candidates to clear Tier-II exam are 33%. For further clarification candidates can refer the table below:

It may be noted that the paper can be written either in English or Hindi language. However, a paper written partly in Hindi and English languages will not be evaluated, states the official website.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern – Tier III

CHSL exam paper for Tier-III – This contains a skill or typing test depending on the post a candidate is applying for.

Skill Test for Data Entry Operator:

In this test, the individual candidates are tested on their data entry speed. Note: Candidates should have a data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on computer. However, candidates applying for post of Data Entry Operator in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) must possess a speed that should be not less than 15,000 key depressions per hour on computer.

candidates who are applying for the office of C&AG -Printed matter in English of about 2,000-2,200 key depressions will be given to each candidate and they must enter the same in the computer. Candidates need to complete their data entry speed test in duration of 15 minutes. It may be noted that the data entry speed test is qualifying in nature.

The official website informs, “The speed of key depressions per hour on computer will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/ key depressions as per the given passage.”

Typing Test for LDC/ JSA and PA/ SA:

Typing test is conducted in both English and Hindi languages and candidates at the time of filling CHSL application form need to indicate their choice for the medium of the test. In the typing test, here the candidates should have a speed of minimum 35 words per minute (in English medium) and 30 words per minute (in Hindi medium). “The speed will be evaluated based on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes,” informs the official website.

SSC CHSL 2019 Result:

SSC CHSL result 2019 for tier-I will be declared by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on September 11. After clearing the tier-1 examination, the candidate is allowed to write their tier-2 examination. The result will be declared on the official website of the commission in the form of PDF.

SSC CHSL Result Declaration Criteria:

SSC CHSL result is declared by the commission after each stage of the exam as explained below:

  • SSC CHSL tier-I result: After the online application process is over, the registered candidates with required documents are called to sit for tier-I exam of SSC CHSL
  • SSC CHSL tier-II result: As above said, Candidates who cleared the tier-I exam are called to appear for SSC CHSL tier-II exam
  • SSC CHSL tier-III result: On the basis of their combined performance in tier-I and II exams subject to scoring minimum 33 per cent marks in tier-II exam, candidates are eligible to appear for SSC CHSL tier-III exam. Tier-III exam is qualifying in nature.

Thus, Candidates who clear final tier-III exam are called for document verification. Final allocation of candidates in different posts is done on the basis of their merit position and the option exercised by them during document verification.
