SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2019-20 demands from a candidate to have a Bachelor’s degree in any aspect from a renowned educational university/institution. Therefore, the SSC CGL Eligibility criteria are different for different categories according to the SSC CGL Notification.

Educational Qualification

Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics

B) Junior Statistical Officer

Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level

OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the core subjects at degree level.

SSC CGL 2019 Application Form:

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of SSC CGL 2019 can submit the Online Application Form. SSC CGL 2019 Application form will be available online from October 2019 and would continue till November 2019. SSC CGL 2019 Admit Card:

After registering successfully, SSC will release admit card of SSC CGL 2019 for the registered candidates. Here, the candidate will need Registration Number/Roll Number and the Password/D.O.B while logging in to download the admit card.

The admit card of SSC CGL 2019 Tier 1 exam will release one week before the scheduled exam for the individual applicant.

Candidates will be able to download the admit card only from the official website of SSC.

SSC will release SSC CGL Admit Card separately for different levels of Examination, i.e. Admit Card for Tier-I will be released first followed by Admit Card for Tier-II and so on. Admit Card for Tier-II will be issued to candidates who have qualified Tier-I Exam. Similarly, Admit Card for Tier-III will be issued to candidates who have cleared the Tier-II Exam and so on.

SSC CGL 2019 Exam Center:

SSC CGL 2019 will be conducted across all major cities of India. As per the preference of the candidates while applying for the exam, the city for the exam will be allocated. Here, the institute will allot a center to the individuals and the venue of this center also be mentioned in the admit card/ call letter.

SSC CGL 2019 Exam Pattern:

Tier-I and Tier-II exam will be objective type multiple choice questions which is conducted online. Tier-III is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in both English and Hindi. Tier-IV is basically a Computer Proficiency Test which is designed in a way to test the candidate’s skills in Computer.

  • Tier 1 is conducted in online mode holding a weight of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes (80 minutes for PwD)
  • Tier 1 has 4 sections (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension) each having 25 questions.
  • Each question holds a weight of 2 marks while negative marking of 0.5 marks is done for every incorrect answer.

  • Any candidate can appear for Tier II only after they qualify Tier I

  • Tier II has 4 sections namely Quantitative Abilities, English Language & Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies having 100, 200, 100 and 100 questions respectively.
  • Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks while the incorrect answer is marked negatively. For every incorrect answer, -1/2 mark is deducted.

  • Tier 4 is either a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), DEST or Document Verification.
  • For Assistant Section Officer in CSS and MEA Post, Tier 4 is a computer proficiency test.

  • DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): For the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax), DEST Exam through SSC CGL 2018 exam is conducted to check the typing speed of the candidate. The candidates are given an article in English which they have to type on Computer. A candidate is required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes.
  • CPT (Computer Proficiency Test): Word Processing, Spread Sheets and Generation of slides are the three modules that are important for this exam and the commission demands a candidate to be proficient in it for the post of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner)

SSC CGL 2019 Result:

Finally, it’s time to check your results. SSC CGL 2019 Result will be declared in October-November, 2020 on the official website. Candidates would be required to login the online portal in order to check their results.

Staff Selection Commission of India will be releasing SSC CGL Tier-I Result after the examination for the same has been conducted. As SSC will be conducing SSC CGL 2019 Exam in 4 different phases, result for the exam will be released in same manner.
