Staff Selection Commission General Duty Exams

SSC (Staff Selection Commission) conducts SSC GD Constable recruitment to recruit eligible candidates for the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles.

Candidates who have completed their matriculation or SSLC Exam and those are between 18 to 23 years can apply for SSC GD constable recruitment. The selection process consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.

SSC GD 2019 Eligibility:

Before applying to the exam, the applicants must ensure that they fulfil the following eligibility requirements to further proceed to the next level. The various criteria are as stated below:

Nationality:

The candidates who is applying must be a

  • Citizen of India
  • A occupant of Bhutan or Nepal
  • A immigrant from Tibet to India, who came to stay in India permanently.
  • People of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with an intension to settle in India permanently.

Age Limit:

The age of candidates should be between 18 to 23 years. The upper age limit is relaxation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories is mentioned below.

SSC GD 2019 Educational Qualification:

SSC GD 2019 Application Form:

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of SSC JE 2019 can submit the Online Application Form. The SSC GD notification has not been released yet. Once it is released, candidates can fill the form in online mode only by visiting the official portal (different for different regions) of SSC.

The application process mainly consists of the following steps which are given below:

STEP 1: Go to the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in

STEP 2: Find out the link for SSC GD 2019.

STEP 3: Go through the notification carefully

STEP 4: Fill all the required information that has been asked.

STEP 5: Click on the submit button

STEP 6: : The final step is the payment process of SSC GD 2019 application fee through various modes namely Credit/ Debit card, Net banking, Cash Card & Wallet and IMPS. You can also download and take a print out of the application for future use.

SSC GD 2019 Application Fee:

Candidates can pay their SSC JE 2019 application fee through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using credit/ debit card of Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro.

SSC GD Application Fee Rs 100

The application fee to be payable at the time of registration is Rs.100 for general category male candidates. For Women and ST/SC/Physically Handicapped/Ex-servicemen are exempted from the application fee.

SSC GD 2019 Admit Card:

The Admit Card for SSC GD 2019 will be released after the application process for the same has been completed. Here, the candidate will need Registration Number/Roll Number and the Password/D.O.B while logging in to download the admit card.

Candidates can download SSC GD 2019 admit card one week before the commencement of the exam from the concerned regional/ sub regional office website from the official website.

Note: it is mandatory for candidates to carry all their required documents (admit card, ID proof, photographs) to the exam centre on the day of the examination. Candidates who fail to bring either of any required documents might not be allowed to write the Exam.

SSC GD 2019 Exam Pattern:

SSC GD constable pattern 2019 is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) separately for Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

SSC GD Constable Pattern 2019 for Computer Based Test (CBT)

The CBT paper of SSC GD Constable will consists of one objective type paper of 100 marks. The language of the question paper will be in English as well as in Hindi. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. The structure of CBT is given below –

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern for PET & PST

Based on the performance in CBT, candidates are shortlisted for PET/PST by SSC. Those who qualifying the same will have to undergo PET (race) followed by biometric/ technology aided identification.

General Intelligence & Reasoning

Questions in this section are basically asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

General Knowledge and General Awareness

This section aims to test a candidate’s general awareness. Questions are designed to test candidate’s knowledge of current events.

Elementary Mathematics

This paper will include questions on Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

English/ Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand Basic English/ Hindi and comprehension are tested.

SSC GD constable 2019 Result:

SSC has released the SSC GD 2018-19 Result on 21st June. All candidates can check their SSC GD Constable Result & Cut-Off in the official website of SSC.
